Im posting this up for a friend as he don't have access to the internet,
Its complete 4.8 engine that came off a 00 silverado 4wd, it was pulled at 101k the truck was running, he's asking $ 500 obo. what you see on the pic is what you get, it may be a good platform for a swap or if you have a truck that needs an engine? please pm me if interested.

I don't think I've ever heard of a 4.8 chevy engine, but I might be wrong...

I don't think I've ever heard of a 4.8 chevy engine, but I might be wrong...
For sure its a 4.8 the eight vin # is a v that makes it a 4.8
and for a 5.3 its either 0, 3 or Z I believe.

No problem my friend thought it was a 5.3 as well, but the engine came with the vin # tag so I looked into it and found out its a 4.8, it will be a good engine for someone looking to do a swap, or someone who has a truck with a lot of miles?

Motor is located right off of Alameda and knox
