Well i know my LT1's pretty well and have started to look into LS1 setups for a buddy of mine and was just wondering what you guys had in mind as far as putting a combo together that would give him plenty of power and still fun to drive.

Car info
2001 T/A 5.7-
6 speed
LS6 intake
big fliter replacing the box setup (forgot the name)
Borla Cat back
100 wet shot

Lets hear what you guys think would be a great combo. Thanks guys

I have had realy good luck with texas speeds ms4 cam and 150-200 hp shot, but you will need atleast 4.10 gears. Im sure there might be a better cam, and or setup

I say this with as much respect as i humanly can....
TEXAS SPEED SUCKS DEAD CAMEL NUTS!!! they're great til they get your money, but if they messed up, you're %100 on your own... I spent over $9k with them, and had to run through the motor 1000 miles in...

as far as heads & cam combo... i'm setting a buddy up with a stock head/T-Rex cam, and all the bolt ons... should be around 450-500hp car N/A... talk to Madman @ thunderracing.com, he'll set you up.

TSP is the only place i've ever heard of that "CNCs" your heads far enough that rocker bolts break off... not the bolt, the molding around the threads..

Thunderracing.com totally kicks ass... sdparts2000.com is the ONLY place i order OEM crap from, they're cheap, and fast... LMR is coming up too, Joe and Amber Honeycut work there now (fastest 6-speed F-body in the world), they're amazing people to work with. Wormboy from LMR know's everything about LSXs you'd ever want to know.

Hey brock. If you would like some info on some combos for your friend, let me know. I recently finished some N.A. cars that are putting down some good numbers.

The new L92/LS3 setups totally kick ass... stock molds are hovering around 400cfm per port.... then, if you can afford em, a Becks manifold ($2000) is a great combo.

I usually get all my parts from Thunder and have always been happy. I run one of their head and cam combos. I like it.

-ET 215 Heads
-Thunder 227 xTReme Cam
