Might do a cam on the car, but then I need to up the boost as I will lose around 2psi.. I keep going back and forth with the car, leave it be or see how much I can get with the stock lower end, which might be pressing the limits if I go more.
I want to buy another vette for a stable mate sometime soon (C6-Z) or a blown vert auto, so that comes into the picture. My car is about perfect where it is, but the gear head in me always wants more power.

The main part of my project is done, now I just to get it started. The battery wont hold a charge.

Im trying to get rid of the rest of my bugs from my build before i left for Iraq again... mostly stupid crap, get new carpet, replace a wheel stud, install a 2-Step, and get light! The goal is to weigh in somewhere around 3250 for now... only gotta find 450 lbs to get rid of.

Hey man, I recently purchased a LPE 2-step and only tried launching with it twice at the track. It will take some time to get use to. You may have to set it to leave at a high RPM then anticipating. I also have the timing tuner set up with it as well. I have a little info on both if you need any help.

Outstanding, thanks... I was planning on setting the 2-step about 6400-6700rpm.... and Im good with the Timing Tuner... only thing that makes me worry is making sure the n2o cant active while the 2-step is on.
Also, do you spray dead out of the hole, or do you delay?

Im not sure if anyone has... it should work though.. just hook up a lockout soleniod to the clutch so the n2o isnt goin until you lift the clutch.

Yeah I am going to re-wire my 2 step, because one time I forgot to let go of the button when I launched and bogged the car down badly.

You will probably take it since you have the motor for it. I am running stock short block with well over 400 pass on it and unknown number of street races on it from back in the day. Bottom end has to go sometime. :dontknow: However it will be fun until that day!

Wow... proof that LSXs are race ready motors straight from GM.. how many times have you had to change bearings and such?

NEVER it is completely OEM original shortblock that came in the car from GM.

I said the same thing when I bought my car.
But after making over 750 corrected, it was time to upgrade.

Well, there's two versions.
Minimum: 60lb. injectors (my FAST 57s are at 95% IDC starting at 8psi) Installation of my Eaton TrueTrac and FTI stall that are currently holding down a shelf in my garage Drag bags
Funds permitting: 83lb. injectors E85 tune 3.4" pulley for the D1 Eaton & FTI Drag bags 3.91 gears...Knowing full well that it's retarded to put gears into my already-traction-challenged setup.

I would love to make that power on this short block. A nice 650 or 675 RWHP and keep it safe would be very nice.

Will do Clint, probably the first part of 2010. No major changes like last year, just get it back running like a champ like 2008. At least we know the problem now and it should be fixed.
